For over 25 years Machelle (Mache) Seibel, MD has been a respected physician, educator, speaker and author, establishing himself as a national authority in health education. He spent nearly two decades on the Harvard Medical School faculty before assuming his current position as a Professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Seibel has won national awards for research, writing, and patient education. His clear and concise summaries of complex issues have made him a consistent figure in both print and broadcast media, and a sought after consultant to industry. In 2008 he was recognized by the University of Texas Medical Branch with a Distinguished Alumnus Award.
Dr. Seibel is also an accomplished composer and in 2003 he created HealthRock®, to teach health through music and entertainment. Dr. Seibel has composed five HealthRock® CDs and HealthRock® songs have appeared on national television and radio. The HealthRock® animation, Making a Baby Takes Time, won a national consumer education award from the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the HealthRock® Lullaby CD has won both a 2008 iParenting Media Award and a 2008 Parents’ Choice Approved Award.
Dr. Seibel also composes pop, jazz and country music through Vineyard Sound Publishing and has written the music and lyrics for three musicals. His CDs Mango, Moods and Red Hot Mama are available through CD Baby and Indie Rhythm.
